Remote Publishing System (RPS) is a web based application for editing XPress documents using a web browser. RPS allows both the changing of text and image content as well as moving and resizing boxes within XPress documents. Every modification made to the XPress document can be viewed immediately online by a simple mouse click. For this reason, RPS calculates a JPEG document preview which is presented to the editing RPS user online. The current version of the edited XPress document may be downloaded at any time while editing. It can be downloaded either as a PDF or XPress document.

For printing companies, RPS provides a simple to use ordering system which allows RPS users to place orders using their own personally modified documents.

For industrial companies and advertising companies, RPS is the ideal system for producing documents which need to be edited and viewed by a large number of editors.

• Working with RPS only requires a computer with internet access and an installed web browser. There’s absolutely no need for further hardware or software. There’s no need whatsoever for any installed fonts, font managing tools or layout programs.

• RPS allows decentralized working on business reports, manuals, catalogues, translations, etc.

• RPS allows global companies to produce their printing matters in a convenient, economical and low-cost manner. Once a document is produced, RPS allows the company’s local branch office to send it to a local print center.
